Huw photographed a poster at the London Toy Fair that shows more of the upcoming Lord of Rings Minifigures. I cannot wait to get my hands on them. The photo also shows how Frodo is going to put ring on his fingers. Well, in essence he cannot. He can only hold the ring in his hand. So your Minifigure will never turn invisible, which is rather swell.

The Brickshow just reviewed the Series 6 Minifigures. I hope they arrive soon in New Zealand, so that I can take photos of them. Here is their video:
The first hints on how to identify the contents of the series 6 packages has been posted. Have a happy hunting over the christmas season!
It is the time of the year when we start to think about what happened this years. In LEGO style, of course. The Guradian put together an amazing Flickr Gallery that collects contemporary LEGO scenes:
Finally I know what the Minifigures look like on the inside. Not much different from me:

LEGO announced that they will release sets in the Lord of the Rings theme in 2012! This will certainly include interesting Minifigures. Given that LEGO produced already Dwarfs, Elves, Orks, Wizards and all sort of other creatures, it does seem almost like low hanging fruits to design sets and figures for Lord of the Rings. Fans already produced many scenes from the movies, including The Last March of the Ents which includes an enormous Isengard. The only figure that might be a design challenge could be Gollum. I also wonder how Frodo is going to put on the ring, since Minfigures do not have any fingers.
We are proud to announce that The Unofficial LEGO Minifigure Catalog App has been released on the Android Market. The iOS version is currently under review. Lets hope that Apple does not take too long to release it to the AppStore.
